For providers in the community who are looking to refer client’s to our services, please provide your clients with the First Call phone number so we can speak with them directly about services and registration. If you have questions before making a referral, please give us a call! We look forward to working with you and your clients.

Volunteering with First Call

First Call is our first point of contact clients, callers, other organizations and community members have with DAP. We answer programming questions, get people signed up for services, provide information about domestic violence, provide referrals, connect clients to their providers at DAP and offer crisis stabilization and safety planning. We ask that volunteers make a minimum of a 6-month commitment to a set, weekly shift during First Call’s operating hours. If you are interested in joining our wonderful team of volunteers, please email hbrandt@mndap.org for the First Call Volunteer Application. We look forward to working with you to end domestic violence and provide a safe space for healing for all.

If calling is not a safe option, please email firstcall@mndap.org
